This afternoon I had a session with the Petron family. They live on 3.5 acres in the west metro and have 3 awesome boys. Driving up to the house reminded me of growing up in a house with 3 boys. I loved being around these guys; the energy, the dirt bikes, the dog, all the stuff that goes into bringing boys up to become men. I can’t wait to see what these guys are like in a few years! Cate is a sister of Anna (featured in the Graduating Seniors section) and Quinn (middle school football player in the sports section). She is working on her masters degree at the U of M. Typically I work with graduating seniors, couples on their wedding day, and then I see those couples when they start their families. Read more.. »

Yesterday was a warm & sunny November day. Dave (the dad) showed me a great new location where there were still leaves on the trees and absolutely no wind. If you were to visit this location in the summer, the leaves would be so thick that very little light would come through. The mosquitos would make it unbearable too. Read more.. »

I had a great time working with the Peterson family this afternoon. The 2 boys have been asking their parents for pictures with their dad for a long time. They had it all planned out. They wanted to be in suits and ties, looking very grown up and professional just like their dad. Read more.. »

I’m totally thrilled anytime I can still be shooting in November. In the early 90’s we had an infamous Halloween snowstorm that brought everything to a standstill. It was in November that the Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior, the inspiration for a great song. So a November day in the upper 50s is a real blessing. Read more.. »
