I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend.  In Minneapolis we had the perfect holiday weekend–absolutely beautiful.  I’m starting to get the winter itch.  Its time to get into the snow and start making some cool images.

On Sunday afternoon I had a session with Paige.  We were joined by her mom and her friend Sam.  I’m still amazed that I was shooting on location in mid-November in Minneapolis and in my shirt sleeves.  This time of year I tell prospective clients that there are no guarantees.  I’ll do my best, but this is Minnesota and we are known for snow.  We were truly blessed with a perfect day.

Last week I had a session with Deborah in St.Paul.  I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again.  Anytime I’m able to shoot outside in early November without freezing my tail off is a good day.  For Deborah’s session, it was a very good day. Read more.. »

Kelsey’s Session

Kelsey has a great sense of humor and had me laughing for most of the session.  Read more.. »

Mary Jo & Andy

In early October I had the honor of photographing Mary Jo & Andy’s wedding.  That had been searching for a wedding photographer online and liked my work.  They looked a little further and realized we live just blocks away from each other.  It was almost comical.

They had a beautiful wedding at St. Stephen’s in Anoka, but the weather created a bit of a challenge.  Read more.. »

Last week I had a great session with Lindsey, her mom, and 2 of her friends.  On our way to St.Paul we stopped at a Caribou Coffee and I ran into a client that I worked with last year.  (Chelsea, October 2008)  Because I only work with 1 client per day (2 if I get backed up due to weather), I can actually remember the people I’ve worked with.  In most cases I can rattle off what we did on a particular session, what they wore, and what they were going to do for school. Last week when I returned from LA I had a session with Kayla.  Kayla is a student at Coon Rapids High School.  One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to know new families, and in the case of Coon Rapids I’ve been getting to know a huge cluster of families.  Each of the students come to their session with an entourage of friends, which makes for a fun time.
