In late October I had a session with Timothy. Timothy completely cracked me up. So often guys are nervous and uptight in front of the camera, but not Timothy, not for a second.

Generally speaking, Jim is a man a few words. At the same time he is very creative. He loves to draw, not just with pencil & paper but using his computer as well. Free hand, illustrations, Photoshop, mixing and twisting images and adding his own flair. Don’t confuse few words for few thoughts. I know Jim’s mind is always in motion.

Unreal! I can’t believe that today is October 21st! It has been an incredible fall with sessions that have been so much fun. This morning I logged into my website and realized that there are 15 blog posts where McKenzie has uploaded the images and I haven’t had a chance to write anything yet. Hopefully this morning I’ll get caught up.

Last week I had a session with Breanna. For her session she had no interest in flowery things, fall leaves, nature paths, etc. Breanna wanted the feel of the city with some grit, but at the same time wanted it to feel feminine.

On Sunday 10/10 I had a session with Anthony. Anthony was awesome to work with. From our first meeting he had some very specific ideas. I wanted an urban feel, some grit, something that hasn’t been seen in all of his friends images.

On Sunday 10/10/10 in the afternoon I had a session with Connolly. Connolly came with 3 friends. I was just thinking….how many people does it take before the group is considered your entourage? Is a posse bigger than an entourage? What ever the case, the 4 girls and I stayed in the Anoka area and got some really cool images.

Mari is easily one of the most confident young women I have ever met. At every consultation I get a chance to know each person before I photograph them. At Mari’s consultation I asked a few questions like “where would you like to be 10 years from now?” and “how do you want to project yourself in your images?”

Earlier this month I had a session with Emily. For her session she wanted natural things. I love all the possibilities in and around the Minneapolis / St.Paul area. The only challenge for her session was timing. The earliest we could start photographing after school was 3:30. The sun sets in mid-October around 6:30 on a sunny day.

I loved Austin’s session. I’m not sure if it was because Austin was totally cool to work with, or because the things he wanted from his session were right in my wheel house. Maybe it was because Austin and his mom were open to new things which gave me creative license to step out look at the world differently.

On October 6th I had a session with Brittany. For fellow Twins fans, this was the 1st day of post season play for the team. We started at Target Field and gate 34 where we started shooting was starting to fill in with press members and fans who wanted to be there when the doors opened. It was pretty cool.
