On Monday afternoon I had a session with Alyssa in the Monticello area.  Normally I’m shooting in Minneapolis or St.Paul, Lake Minnetonka area or even out too Stillwater.  A few times each year I have a chance to head north and photograph in some uncharted areas. I love getting into the countryside.

The first images were created in Alyssa’s backyard.  Alyssa and her mom showed me the tire swing and at a first glance I thought “gee, that rope looks pretty new.”  Then I found out that Alyssa set up the tire swing earlier that day!  After that we used a neighbor’s barn (I’m a sucker for red every time).  We did some river images and some field images too, all places that Alyssa and her mom scoped out.  Talk about making my job easy!

It was really cool to see how on one hand Alyssa was into tire swings and building forts in their backyard, and then 5 minutes later she was all girly girl.  Very cool!

Thanks for a fun session Alyssa.  Enjoy your sneak peek!
