Earlier in January I had a session with Andy. As you can tell from the images below he is really into snowboarding and all things winter. So, for his session we went to the place that he spends a big part of his winter, Afton Alps.
We had a great day to photograph on location in Minnesota, with temps hanging just below freezing and very little wind. When I was growing up our family skied 4 or 5 times each winter at Afton Alps, so going back after 20+ years was fun for me.
I really liked that Andy was just himself. He was comfortable in from of the camera and didn’t try to be something he wasn’t. “I’m a snowboarder and this is where I love to hang out.” That about sums up the session.
