Announcing ANNETTE!!!

In 2002 I officially established Tice Photography as a business.  Along the way there have been several big milestones.  (first destination wedding, launch of the website, etc.) In the fall of 2006 what had been a fun little side business had snowballed to the point where I was turning people away, and the following spring I quit my day job to be a fulltime photographer.

The snowball just keeps on rolling.  Earlier this summer I was trying to figure out why I was feeling so frazzled, so I pulled the numbers and compared the first half of 2009 to the first half of 2008.  The good news is that my business had doubled!  I was blown away.
My wife Natasha had been telling me for several months that I needed to hire someone, but would I listen?  Finally, in seeing things in black & white on a piece of scratch paper I had my moment of epiphany, my “duh” moment.
Enough of the background.  Now the good stuff.
Annette Yarges is an awesome person.  I’ve known her and her family for several years through our church.  I’ve watched her do all kinds of projects and knew that she had an artistic vision that would be a great fit with Tice Photography.  (Yes I did just speak in the 3rd person.  Its a little weird, but in the context of a brand its OK, right?)  So last fall I started sending her some Christmas card projects, and then a bunch of grad open house announcements in the spring.  She has been a joy to work with and when the time came to start a Tice Photography team, Annette was at the top of a very short list.
On August 3rd she officially joined Tice Photography and will continue to design amazing things for our clients and also oversee the production part of the business.  This will allow me to be behind the camera much more.  I’m so stoked!
Below is an image of Annette (and my dog Sadie), followed by a sampling of her design work over the last year.
Welcome Annette!!!
