This June marks the 3rd annual KTIS Joyful Noise Family Fest at the Blaine Sports Center. Each year they have all kinds of fun activities for kids and families, tents where area charities and ministries share what they do, and great music all day long.
On Saturday night I had a great time with the KTIS crew at the TobyMac show. I love shooting concerts, although they do come with some challenges. With every other type of photography that I do, I am able to manipulate the light and come up with something that is really compelling.
On Saturday KTIS had their 2nd annual Joyful Noise Family Fest at the Blaine Sports center. For the event they brought in more than a dozen different Christian music artists & groups, had an area for the kids to bounce around on inflatable things and other events, along with a tent where area ministries could tell their stories.
On Saturday night I had the honor of covering the 60th anniversary celebration for KTIS. KTIS was founded in 1949 by Billy Graham and has had a major impact in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area and through many other endeavors has had an impact around the world. Last night I was at the Minnesota Twins game. Immediately following the game KTIS hosted a Jars of Clay concert at the Metrodome. A month or so ago the station contacted me about the event and I have been looking forward to it ever since. Read more.. »
This past Saturday I was thrilled to photograph the KTIS Joyful Noise Family Fest. It was a 1 day outdoor Christian music festival held at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN. This was the first year KTIS has done anything like this and they did it right. What an awesome event.
