Tyler’s Senior Session

Tyler is hockey. Just after he was born his parents put skates on him and gave him that first push across the ice. (picture a newborn deer standing for the first time, now add ice) Fast forward to age 18 and we see him as one of the Andover hockey captains! sniff sniff….they grow up so quick!

Amy’s Senior Session

On the Wednesday of MEA weekend I had a session with Amy in the Minnehaha Falls area. The week before Amy’s shoot she was along on her friend Kristina’s session. So as we started Amy’s shoot, she knew exactly what to do. She is a quick study!

Ashley’s Senior Session

This entire season I’ve been blessed with some spectacular weather (there have been some exceptions, but overall it has been really good). For Ashley’s shoot, it wasn’t a bright sunshiny day, but that was A OK with me. It just gave me a chance to break out the sunshine that I carry in my case.

Kristina’s Senior Session

On the afternoon of Saturday 10/15 I had a session with Kristina and her family. Kristina graduates this coming spring, and before she heads out the door to collage never to be seen again, her parents wanted to do some family images. (I’m sure she will come home all the time, crying every day, missing her little sister so much!)

Katie’s Senior Session

On Tuesday I had a session with Katie in St.Paul. This time of year is outstanding for portraits. We photographed at mid-day. During the summer that is the toughest light to work with. The sun is straight over head and the light is really difficult. In October (at least in Minneapolis), the sun hangs at a nice 45 degree angle.

Taylor’s Senior Session

Yesterday I had a session with Taylor. In the spring I photographed Taylor for her Tice Photography Class of 2012 Ambassador mini session. At that point the leaves were just starting to come out. Now, for her full session the leaves are dropping.

Cori’s Senior Session

Last Friday I had a session with Cori in St. Paul. For her session she had a couple ideas in mind and then let me improvise. Improvise is the key word here. We photographed on a day with some crazy wind, which is no problem when photographing guys with short hair. Girls with long hair??? Time to improvise.

Katherine is what I lovingly refer to as the new face of hockey in Minnesota. It kills me every time I photograph young women hockey players. They have all their teeth! They look pretty in dresses. This is hockey, right?
