On Wednesday afternoon I had a session with Emma. Every session has things that I really like, images that I connect with, images that I know the family will treasure. Still, every year I have a few sessions where everything clicks, everything is exactly what I was going for and the person I’m photographing just hits it out of the ballpark.
Emma’s session was one of those sessions!
We started in Uptown at my favorite furniture store. If you haven’t been to Design Within Reach, be sure to check it out!

They have so many unique pieces of furniture, things that literally are works of art. Susan is the studio proprietor and is absolutely dynamite!! Thank you Susan for letting us photograph in your store.
For Emma’s session, we wanted some images with modern elements, some with bits of nature, and some with a little grit (but not too much). We wanted sophisticated but fun, natural and man made elements, a little of this and a little of that. No matter what, the images needed to feel feminine!
I loved working with Emma because she really cared about her images, but didn’t get too uptight about things. She relaxed and just had fun.
Thanks Emma for a great session. Enjoy your sneak peek!
