A little over a week ago I had a session with Holly. One of the things I love about shooting on location is being spontaneous. For Holly’s session, a natural field was a must (as opposed to a cultivated wheat field). After that, a beach and natural things, as well as something casual in a neighborhood was the direction for the session.
I was planning on ending the session at Lake Harriet, maybe incorporating the trolley station. We parked the car a couple blocks away and then walked to the station for some final images. As we approached the station, one of the station men was standing by the tracks. Now, I know that the trolley actually runs, but it isn’t something that is part of the transit system. This is something that runs on occasion, something that if I were to do some research and the planets align just right, we might be able to plan on a trolley.
I asked the station man how long it would be before the trolley came by. “About a minute”….and around the bend it came!
Spontaneous. I love it!
Thanks for a great session Holly!
