This has been a whirlwind last couple of weeks. High school graduation season is in full gear and summer weddings are gearing up. What an exciting time. When people ask me if I’m busy, my response is “Its like drinking from a firehose!”
At the end of May I had the honor of documenting the Iaffaldano 60th wedding anniversary celebration. I’ve known their daughter and son-in-law for most of my life, so when I got the call for this session I was thrilled.
Don & Rosemary were in town the week leading up to the event. Big events are wonderful and fun, but in addition to the big event I also wanted a chance to work with the couple without a huge audience. I really wanted the opportunity to watch a couple interact after 60 years of marriage. I’ve worked with dozens of couples, creating engagement and wedding images.
The eyes say it all. I’m willing to bet that the family could write a caption for each image. “He’s telling that story again?” “There is telling about the first thing he said to mom.” (and mom’s rolling her eyes with that little smile again) I really can’t think of too many things in life that are more beautiful than a couple in love after 60 years.
Enjoy!
