Recently I’ve been working on a project for an Anoka area dentist Dr. Eric Ness at Anoka-Ramsey Dental. (By the way, if you’re in need of an awesome dentist I highly recommend Dr. Ness!) He is in the process of updating his website and for part of the site there will be a testimonial section with images of some of the people he has worked with.
The assignment for me was to capture people as they really are, something casual and if their teeth are showing, better yet.
Since this is February and we are in Minnesota, I’m stepping out of my usual location type work and creating images at the home of Tice Photography, which is also my home of course.
Each of the images you see below were created in my living room at about the same time of day and bright sunshine outside. Each image was created with natural light, reflectors and scrims. For me this has been a really cool assignment, not only because I’ve had a chance to work with some great people, but because I’m confined to one room of my house and am forced to be creative without the benefit of changing my surroundings. It is also making me question whether or not to get a studio space. Who knows?!?
