Last Thursday I had a session with Jaclyn in Minneapolis. Her mom and aunt joined us and we had a blast. For Jaclyn, the assignment was all about capturing her stage energy and after that to go after her glam side. Mission accomplished.
It seems like I always mention the weather in my writing, mainly because it has a huge impact on light and the overall mood of the session. For Jaclyn we had an absolutely perfect day, with the exception of the wind. Oh…my….GOODNESS!!! With the exception of the theater images at the beginning of the session, I was basically shooting from the hip, something I really don’t like to. If you’re a Project Runway fan you certainly know Tim Gunn’s saying “designers….MAKE IT WORK!” That is exactly what we did.
Jaclyn was a real pro. Working with long hair in the wind can be frustrating, but she stuck with it and got some great images.
For me, the theater images really stood out. I brought along several lights, but opted to use the various spotlights in the theater and love the effect. Jaclyn’s expressions were golden.
Thanks for a great session Jaclyn. Enjoy your sneak peek.
