At the end of August I photographed Katie’s friend Taylor and I think I said something like….”HOLY HAIR!”…”ROCK STAR HAIR” or something like that. Well on Katie’s shoot I got to meet the friend behind this rockstar hair that has been coming to Tice Photography via Blaine HS!!! It isn’t from a high-end salon, it is from her high-end friend McKenzie!
So I get to say it again. HOLY HAIR!!!! Rock it girl!!!
For her session, Katie didn’t really have any specific things in mind. She knew she wanted some city images, but beyond that it was up to me to fill in the blanks. After meeting Katie, I just thought that strong color and interesting lines would be a good fit. Something bold, something that made a statement would be the goal. Katie has some attitude and I wanted something with power for a background.
In all the images, even things with natural elements, the colors are strong. The images under the bridge added drama. I’m a sucker for diagonal lines and triangles.
And, look at the hair in the images at the start of the session. Now look at the end of the session. Nice McKenzie, very nice indeed!
