Last week when I returned from LA I had a session with Kayla. Kayla is a student at Coon Rapids High School. One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to know new families, and in the case of Coon Rapids I’ve been getting to know a huge cluster of families. Each of the students come to their session with an entourage of friends, which makes for a fun time.It also keeps me on my toes because with each session I need to stay fresh, to find new places and not repeat myself. The kiss of death would be if all the students from Coon Rapids for example started to looks the same. Then I might as well become a photographer with props in my backyard and call it a day! Ouch, no way!
For Kayla, the assignment was pretty straight forward. She wanted fall colors, some urban grit, and she wanted her hair & eyes to look awesome. We were joined by her friend Lindsey, who you’ll see in my next blog post. Kayla also joined us on Lindsey’s shoot, so I got 2 days in a row with Kayla.
