On Saturday KTIS had their 2nd annual Joyful Noise Family Fest at the Blaine Sports center. For the event they brought in more than a dozen different Christian music artists & groups, had an area for the kids to bounce around on inflatable things and other events, along with a tent where area ministries could tell their stories.
Anyone who lives in the Minneapolis area knows that we are having a very wet June. Saturday was no exception. Even in spite of the weather, attendance was equal to last year when the weather was perfect. Families came out just the same in full rain gear and as they say in entertainment, the show must go on!
I had a blast covering the event. This was the first event I have covered in a rain poncho and had a blast. I think all the uptight people stayed home and we were left with folks who really wanted to be there and no weather was going to keep them away. What a fun group.

PS: Yes that’s me with a t-shirt cannon!! I know it is silly, but I have always wanted to shoot the t-shirt cannon and this was a dream come true!!! A huge thanks to the KTIS team!!!!
