Saturday was a good day. In the AM I had a session with Maria and started out at her dance studio. Lundstrum Center for the Performing Arts is located in North Minneapolis and is in an industrial space that has been renovated to serve the needs of dance, voice and drama studios. Its a great space where some incredibly creative things happen every day.

The main dance studio has great big windows that face east, so I was able to take full advantage of the morning sun.

Over the past year I’ve been fortunate enough to work with several dancers and each time I come away from the session energized and looking forward to my next session. With dancers the session takes on a life of its own. Its a dialog, a collaboration. Its about expression from head to toe. Its about line & form. Its so much fun.

Maria did a great job. She a gifted artist and wonderful to work with. It will be fun to watch as she grows as a dancer and ultimately where she lands professionally.

Enjoy your sneak peek Maria!
