In early October I had the honor of photographing Mary Jo & Andy’s wedding. That had been searching for a wedding photographer online and liked my work. They looked a little further and realized we live just blocks away from each other. It was almost comical.
They had a beautiful wedding at St. Stephen’s in Anoka, but the weather created a bit of a challenge. What we had hoped for was a beautiful fall day with all the colors of the season and a wedding dress in the middle of it all. What we got was a rainy fall day. When the rain started early in the afternoon, it kept going, and going, and going….. So, plan B!
Earlier in the week I had scoped out a number of locations, both outside and and inside backup as well. The inside images were actually taken at my home church in Anoka, in the gymnasium. There is a large bank of windows that faces north that provided the perfect light. I love the look, and yes, the floor lines have been removed.
