On Thursday afternoon I had a session with Melissa. We were joined by her dad and her friends Emily and Alicia. I had an awesome session with Emily this fall and a little later this winter I’ll get to work with Alicia. Its so much fun getting to know groups of friends. For Melissa’s session, the goal was to capture the winter feel in her images and specifically highlight her interest in hockey. From what I understand she is a killer player, destined for a division 1 school next year. For her images though, we didn’t want all the hockey boards and school colors. We wanted old school pond hockey. Ofter all, organized sports are where they are today because people in neighborhoods played them for the love of the game first & foremost. For me, the black bouret was the perfect touch.
