As of Sunday morning, 8/4/13, I have 1 more session with Quinn Williams, then 2 more weddings (1 in October and 1 in February). Crazy stuff!
Last week I photographed Michael. He is EASILY one of the most relaxed, laid-back, chill people I have ever photographed. Most of the time when I show up at someone’s house for a shoot there is a flurry of activity and electricity in the air. Wardrobe is being checked over one more time. Hair is being checked one last time to make sure everything is just right. Then I’m asked to weigh in on wardrobe choices and away we go!
For Michael’s shoot? I rolled up and talked to his parents for a little while. We worked together when his sister Emily graduated. What a great family. They just make me laugh. But where was Michael?
His mom went downstairs and opened Michael’s bedroom door. Was he getting dressed? Was he working on his hair? Nope. Michael was….SLEEPING!!! How is that for relaxed?
In 15 minutes he went from a dead sleep, to fully dressed in his suit and ready for action. It was like Clark Kent in a phone booth!
For Michael’s session we worked in the Anoka area. Suit, car, dog and jersey were on the short list. I was pretty blown away how he rocked the suit. Then I found out that Michael and I go to the same person at Men’s Wearhouse. Curtis has helped me many times and is the real deal. It was great to see more of his handy work!
Michael, thanks for a fun time together. Carin, thanks for giving him a little extra nudge to get him moving. And Don, you amaze me and make me laugh every time I see you!
