On Wednesday I had a session with Micalie. This week the weather has been incredible, nearly perfect every day. For Micalie’s session we featured her piano interests and also incorporated some fall colors, some warehouse elements and some iron bridge architecture. Read more.. »

Today I worked with Rachel. I seem to be saying this a lot lately, but it was a perfect day. Hopefully the string of awesome days will just keep on rolling. I love it!
For Rachel, the challenge was to represent her musical interests, her athletic interests, and then add something unexpected and special. After meeting her at our consultation I knew she would photograph well, I just didn’t know she would hit a home run. Read more.. »

This afternoon I worked with Steven. For me this was a special shoot because he is the 3rd sibling from his family that I’ve had an opportunity to work with. This summer I covered his sister’s wedding and 2 years ago I had a senior session with his other sister. It has been a lot of fun getting to know Steven’s family. Read more.. »

And the award for best eyes in a senior session goes to…..
Yesterday was a picture perfect day once again in Minneapolis. In mid-January I’ll be scrolling through the blog looking back on these images, wishing for a fall day like this. It was pretty spectacular. Read more.. »

OK. So where do I start with Amanda’s session. Oh yeah…that was AWESOME!
Amanda looked great. Her outfits, hair, makeup…everything came together perfectly. The weather was perfect. All the locations were a first time for me (and no, I’m not going to tell you where we went, I’m keeping this one hush hush for a little while). Top to bottom I could not have asked for a better session. Read more.. »

I had an awesome time “working” with Sarah and her parents. Any time I can shoot on the shore of Lake Minnetonka on a beautiful day, I’m a happy man.
Sarah didn’t take a bad picture. She was so at ease and was having a great time. Her expressions came through as natural & genuine. Toward the end of the session she mentioned that she was a little nervous before the session. If that was the case, I never saw it. Read more.. »

Yesterday was an awesome day. Once we get into the middle part of September, the light is awesome all day long. Living in the mother tundra land means that the days not only get shorter, but the sun stays lower in the sky. For photographers it is the perfect light. If only September & October would last all year long. Read more.. »

Last Friday afternoon I worked with Garrett. It was a perfect day and we made the most of it, right down to the last bit of sunshine.
As you can tell from the images, Garrett is an athletic guy. I’m 6′2″ tall. Garrett is easily 4 inches taller and in great shape. His high school experience has revolved around golf and hoops. For his basketball images, Read more.. »

Last Friday I worked with Ali in South Minneapolis. I love this part of the city. Every house is unique and the neighborhoods have so much charm. For Alida, some of my favorite images of the session were created on her front step. Read more.. »

Earlier today I worked with Kelsey. Today was the first time in 3 months (weddings aside) that I haven’t worn flip flops for a session. It was a little weird, but I think I’m starting to embrace the fall. School is back in session, football is in the air, and if you’re a senior this year and want a fall session, you better get your butt in gear and pick up the phone! Times are going fast. Read more.. »
