Last Saturday I had a great time on location with Ross, his mom, and his dad. The weather report said cloudy with rain in the afternoon. For Ross’ session we had a beautiful sunny afternoon. Wouldn’t it be great to be a weather forecaster and be wrong most of the time and still keep your job? I’m sure glad we waited to see the actual conditions before deciding what to do. For Ross’ session, the goal was to keep it casual, to show a young man interested in the outdoors, rugged but with a sense of humor. Ross delivered on all of the above. This was my 2nd session where the person being photographed had a gun. What a difference from the senior model sessions I find myself shooting quite often. I love it. The gun that Ross is holding is a .30-06 that his grandpa hunted with. I love stuff like that. So as I was looking through the images, I tried aging the images a little bit, making it look like an image that could have been created back when his grandpa was hunting. I love seeing things come full circle.
