Yesterday afternoon was quite possibly one of the best days of the winter for photography.  Early in the morning everything was covered in a thick layer of hoarfrost.   Sara’s photoshoot was in the early afternoon and I was hoping the frost would stay around long enough for her images.

A week ago I photographed Danielle.  She was my last fall HS senior session.  It was the first week in November and everything was perfect.  In years past we have been under 2 feet of snow.  Not this year though.  Danielle picked a perfect day.

Mr. Evan is the youngest in his family.  2 years ago I photographed his brother Mitch.  Before that I photographed his sister Lauren.  Getting to photograph all 3 kids as they graduate has been an honor.

The week of the MEA break I had 9 sessions scheduled.  It is the only time of the year when I book back to back sessions.  Each year I pray for good weather and this year had perfect days to shoot.  9 of my 9 sessions went off without a hitch!  What a blessing.

On Saturday 10/22 I had a session with Nick.  Earlier this fall I had a session with his twin sister Katie.  For this shoot we wanted to photograph Nick & Katie together and then Nick by himself.  Natural relaxed elements, no suits & ties, just casual & easy images.

On Friday 10/21 I had a session with Annelise in the Minneapolis area.  At her consultation she talked about not being all that picky about where we photographed.  She wanted some city stuff and if some trees or natural elements worked their way in, no problem.

Sometimes when people come to me for a session they have very distinct things on their list.  They know exactly where they want to go, what they want to wear, the specific feel.  It can be like working with an art director on set.

On Thursday 10/22 I photographed Nicole at Minnehaha Falls.  OK, so before anyone busts me on taking 2 Anoka students to Minnehaha Falls in less than a week, let me just say the I was very careful to use different areas and create a different feel.  :-)

Tyler is hockey.  Just after he was born his parents put skates on him and gave him that first push across the ice.  (picture a newborn deer standing for the first time, now add ice)  Fast forward to age 18 and we see him as one of the Andover hockey captains!  sniff sniff….they grow up so quick!
