This evening is New Years Eve, which means that this will be my last blog entry of 2011. What an amazing year this has been. I am blessed with awesome clients and am still blown away every time the phone rings. A huge thanks to everyone that I’ve worked with this year.
I’ve been really fortunate to be part of some great weddings this season, more so than any other year. The families I’ve photographed this season have been a joy to work with. Sarah and Bo’s family is no exception.

Last week I had a session with Michelle in Eden Prairie and then along Lake Minnetonka. It was an absolutely perfect day to be on location and on the lake.
Last weekend I had the honor of photographing Bill & Megan’s wedding in Ashland, Wisconsin. For anyone who doesn’t know the area, Ashland is along the southern shore of Lake Superior. Beautiful area.
When I think of Ben & Jacki, two things come to mind right away. They are both strong Christians putting their Lord before all else. And second, they have a real sense of adventure. I don’t know too many couples who have gone skydiving together!
People ask me “what was your all time favorite wedding to photograph?” My answer is always “the last one that I photographed.” There is so much that goes into covering weddings and each one leaves a lasting mark, especially the most recent one.
2 years ago I photographed Steve for his senior images. Last fall I photographed Steve with Catie for their engagement images. Here we are in the summer of 2011 and I’m photographing Steve’s wedding! The following week I photographed his sister Kristen’s wedding, so 2 weddings in 8 days for their family.

I’m finally getting caught up on a few things and doubling back to Sarah & Bo’s engagement session to say a few words. A huge thanks to my assistant McKenzie for getting images posted to the website so quickly!
On Saturday I was honored to photograph Alicia & J.R.’s wedding. Last summer I had a high school senior session with J.R.’s “little” sister Anna. We also did a family session at the end of the session at Target Field.

Last Sunday I had a session with the Holzkamp family. Natasha and I got to know Doug & Barb’s daughter Sher when we went on the St.Cloud State University England Program for 6 months.
