This evening is New Years Eve, which means that this will be my last blog entry of 2011. What an amazing year this has been. I am blessed with awesome clients and am still blown away every time the phone rings. A huge thanks to everyone that I’ve worked with this year.
This June marks the 3rd annual KTIS Joyful Noise Family Fest at the Blaine Sports Center. Each year they have all kinds of fun activities for kids and families, tents where area charities and ministries share what they do, and great music all day long.

I’m finally getting caught up on a few things and doubling back to Sarah & Bo’s engagement session to say a few words. A huge thanks to my assistant McKenzie for getting images posted to the website so quickly!
The week before Christmas I had the honor of photographing John & Sara’s wedding in Minneapolis. I met john for the first time last summer during their engagement session. Such a great guy. Sara on the other hand? I remember meeting Sara when she was just baby.
On Saturday night I had a great time with the KTIS crew at the TobyMac show. I love shooting concerts, although they do come with some challenges. With every other type of photography that I do, I am able to manipulate the light and come up with something that is really compelling.
In October I had the honor of photographing Nicholas & Samantha on the biggest day of their lives….so far. They are both from New Ulm. For me, this was my first time in New Ulm. It was about a 2 hour drive through rural Minnesota and in the middle of October it was a treat.
I tend to mark time in my mind by the clients that I work with. So, when siblings of past seniors come to me or seniors that I’ve worked with come back to have me for wedding images I’m reminded of how quickly time passes!
In August I had the honor of photographing Craig & Sharon’s wedding in St. Paul. They had a perfect August day, lots of sun and not too hot. Love it.
On Saturday KTIS had their 2nd annual Joyful Noise Family Fest at the Blaine Sports center. For the event they brought in more than a dozen different Christian music artists & groups, had an area for the kids to bounce around on inflatable things and other events, along with a tent where area ministries could tell their stories.
