I’ve been really fortunate to be part of some great weddings this season, more so than any other year. The families I’ve photographed this season have been a joy to work with. Sarah and Bo’s family is no exception.
Last weekend I had the honor of photographing Bill & Megan’s wedding in Ashland, Wisconsin. For anyone who doesn’t know the area, Ashland is along the southern shore of Lake Superior. Beautiful area.
When I think of Ben & Jacki, two things come to mind right away. They are both strong Christians putting their Lord before all else. And second, they have a real sense of adventure. I don’t know too many couples who have gone skydiving together!
People ask me “what was your all time favorite wedding to photograph?” My answer is always “the last one that I photographed.” There is so much that goes into covering weddings and each one leaves a lasting mark, especially the most recent one.

This coming fall I get to photograph Justin & Kirstie’s wedding here in Anoka. Kirstie heard about me through one of her friends and called me not long after Justin popped the question.
2 years ago I photographed Steve for his senior images. Last fall I photographed Steve with Catie for their engagement images. Here we are in the summer of 2011 and I’m photographing Steve’s wedding! The following week I photographed his sister Kristen’s wedding, so 2 weddings in 8 days for their family.

In early October I had the honor of photographing Mary Jo & Andy’s wedding. That had been searching for a wedding photographer online and liked my work. They looked a little further and realized we live just blocks away from each other. It was almost comical.
