Tice family goes sledding

Winter in Minnesota can drive you crazy unless you embrace it. When I was a kid, a Saturday in December meant spending the entire day outside. We built forts in the snowbanks, went sledding, and when the moms in the neighborhood called us in for lunch we would change into some dry clothes.

Now, thanks to my kids, I’m back out in the snow once again. When the weather forecast shows snow, I look forward to getting the kids outside. They sleep better and there is less whining (which is priceless in itself).

I purchased a new camera this week, so I’ve been itching to get out and try it. So today while everyone else was sliding, I was the nerd on the hill with the great big camera. I was also sporting a red plaid “Stormy Krommer” cap (similar to something Elmer Fud wore). NERD ALERT!! Anything that makes my kids squirm a little is OK by me.

The images below were taken this afternoon with our friends, the Winje and Brezinka families. Enjoy!
